Tatooine is a very old world. It consists of the sea surface near the sand dunes that do not expire, but by cutting the rocks and walls carved grooves left by the ocean as long as there is no memory of live or recorded the planet can say when he disappeared. Officers and the silence about the reason for the failure of the process, but rumor is beginning to circulate that Tatooine ore is substandard in some way. The company has denied this, but the strength of this rejection has given the credibility of the rumors.
It is likely that Czerka company will eventually give up its stake in Tatooine, but for now, five to ten thousand settlers attempt to make a living on the surface and under. Can allow moisture vaporators independent colonies to survive, but nothing out of Anchorhead continue for a long time. People rarely travel without armed escort, and not just because of Sand People attacks. As desert tracks from predators and the huge herds found near decimated Bantha, and many people that go exploring simply do not return. Was funded by residents of the path and plunged onslaught of small, but the planet must be dangerous, in fact, that should be considered safe entertainment. There is little of interest on Tatooine for the casual traveler. That could change if local hyperspace routes that will be useful, but at the moment, it is an inhospitable place best avoided.
